The Land Rover Defender Octa is the most powerful and sharpest Defender to date. Whilst the regular Defender V8 uses the old JLR supercharged V8 engine, this new Octa Defender has sourced it’s 4.4L twin turbocharged V8 from BMW. This has resulted in peak power rising from 518 to 626 hp, and torque increasing from 461 to 553 lb-ft. A significant uplift in performance that sees a reduction in the 0 to 62 mph sprint from 5.2 to 4 seconds flat.
