The Lotus Theory 1 concept goes big on power and previews the potential future Lotus design language called The Lotus Theory. With 986 hp from its electric powertrain, the Lotus Theory 1 stakes it’s claim as a potential hypercar that features a carbonfibre tub, pullrod rear suspension and active wing. It’s all-wheel drive, weighs under 1,600 kilograms, will do 0 to 62 mph in under 2.5 seconds, go on to a top speed of 198 mph and is capable of a WLTP-certified 250 miles. The Theory 1 will remain a concept only car for now, but expect Lotus to follow with a production car or two with similar styling in the years to come.
