New Lotus Eletre is the first SUV, four-wheel drive and series production electric vehicle from from the British brand. Built on an all-new platform called the Electric Premium Architecture (EPA), Lotus has plans to start with the Eletre SUV and then develop a Porsche Taycan like electric GT car.
Like a lot of EV’s coming to the market these days, the Eletre runs on an 800 volt electrical system equipped with a 100kWh+ battery and the capability of 350kW charging. Power is expected to start at over 600 hp and go up from there, with three models coming in different power levels and all with all-wheel drive. Buyers can expect a range of around the 348 mile mark.
