The Hennessey VelociRaptor is a 600 horsepower version of the all new Ford F-150 Raptor pickup. They have taken the stock 3.5L twin turbocharged V6 engine and tuned an extra 150 hp and 112 lb-ft of torque out of it to bring the peak numbers up to 600 and 622 respectively. That’s good enough for a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.2 seconds and a quarter mile run of 12.9 seconds.
This extra power and torque has been achieved with the use of a new high-flow intake and exhaust system, engine management and high-capacity intercooler. Big six-piston Brembo brakes with 20-inch wheels with 37-inch off-road tires and a suspension levelling kit highlight the options list for buyers.
