Koenigsegg have revealed their new 1,600 horsepower Jesko hypercar as the successor to the mighty Agera RS. Named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of company Founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg, the Jesko is a track-focused road legal car with extreme performance. Featuring a revised carbon tub chassis, engine and all-new transmission developed in-house.
The star of the show is the 5.0L twin turbo V8 engine which is a revised version of that found in the Agera RS. As is usually the case with Koenigsegg, the numbers on the spec sheet are massive. Peak power is rated at 1,600 PS (1,177 kW) when running on E85, and for those without access to the ethanol based fuel the power output drops to 1,280 PS (941 kW). 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) of peak torque is available at 5,100 rpm and at least 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) between 2,700 to 6,170rpm.
