The RS 2027 Vision concept is Renaults vision for Formula 1 ten years from now, more power, lighter weight and safer for the driver. Renault have included a fully transparent cockpit providing a better safety shell for the driver, and plenty of LED lighting. Lights on the wheels show what track position the driver is, and display the cars remaining energy levels for that lap.
Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication between all the cars on track will enable the tracking of competitors, and aid in a predictive collision warning system, preventing any car being released from the pit box when another car is passing. Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication would allow direct feed of information to the driver about any track warnings such as red and yellow flags or safety car deployment.
