Dodge have finally put a good ole fashioned fossil fuel burning engine in the new Charger, but what’s this… It’s a V6? After the launch of the 8th generation Dodge Charger , fans all over the world were left disappointed in both the powertrain choice (electric) and the lacklustre styling. Now for the 2026 model year, dodge is giving buyers the choice of an internal combustion engine, but the styling remains mostly the same, and there’s no V8 in sight.
Under the hood is a 3.0L twin turbocharged V6 engine producing 550 hp and 531 lb-ft. It will do a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.9 seconds, a quarter mile run of 12.2 seconds and top out at 177 mph. All of those stats are for the Scat Pack version of the car, with an R/T model also in the offering with less performance.
