It must the season of race cars for the road with Aston revealing the Valkyrie LM, a Le Mans racer that you can buy for yourself. Much like the recently unveiled Porsche 963 RSP , and the Ferrari 499P Modificata , this Valkyrie is an unhomologated version of Aston Martin’s Le Mans endurance racer. It will be limited to only 10 units made and feature only minor changes for the road.
Following the FIA Hypercar regulations like the race car, the Valkyrie LM has the same aerodynamics, safety and power output. This means the 6.5L V12 is limited to 697 hp, a far cry from the Valkyrie Pro’s 1,000 hp. Adam Carter, Aston Martin’s head of endurance motorsport, said: “The Valkyrie LM is close to identical to the race car that is currently competing in WEC and IMSA, with only a few minor deviations to ensure it is a non-homologated variant and is accessible for customers to experience and enjoy.”
