BMW are looking at creating an ultra-exclusive Speedtop model featuring their most powerful V8. Following in the footsteps of the Skytop which was first teased as a concept model and then released as a limited edition collector’s item, the Speedtop is set to walk the same path.
This three-door wagon/shooting brake has a slick, elegant profile with sharp features and more conventional V-shape kidney grilles. Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group design, said: “The BMW Concept Speedtop is characterised first of all by its profile. It is very unique in the automotive industry. In this way, we have created an exclamation mark for our entire lineup of vehicles, especially for the Touring models.”
