The new Flying Spur Speed is Bentley’s most powerful saloon car ever produced thanks to its 771 hp hybrid V8. Replacing the old twin turbo W12 engine from the previous generation Flying Spur, is Bentley’s new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain that delivers more power and torque than ever before.
The hybrid system consists of a 4.0L twin turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 591 hp on its own, and an e-motor that is mounted in the eight-speed automatic gearbox. Fitted with a 25.9kWh battery, the Flying Spur Speed will do 47 miles of electric-only driving and get up to speeds of 87 mph whilst doing it. When the hybrid system is in full swing, it can generate up to 771 hp and 738 lb-ft, lending Bentley to billing this as a ‘four-door supercar’.
