Alfa Romeo’s first full EV offering has arrived in the form of the Junior subcompact SUV. When it was first launched Alfa Romeo was calling this the Milano but came upon an issue with the cars production location. Due to the Milano being made in Poland, the Italian government wouldn’t let them use the name unless it was made in Italy. This led to the decision to change the name to Junior.
Two models will be available at first with the Veloce enjoying more power on tap with 236 hp to play with. The battery on offer is a 54 kWh unit that will enable 250 miles of range on the WLTP cycle. Alfa will also be fitting an internal combustion engine into the Junior, but no details have been released at this point.
