New Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness has its sights set on off-road adventuring with a raised ride height, bigger engine and knobby tires. With an elevated ground clearance of 9.3 inches and extra chunky body cladding, the Crosstrek Wilderness certainly look the part as a crossover with more off-roading abilities than most.
Powering the show is a 2.5L Boxer engine with 182 hp and 176 lb-ft of torque which is connected to a retuned Lineartronic CVT with a revised differential gear ratio for an improved climbing ability. A nice addition for potential buyers is the doubling of the maximum towing capacity, which now stands at 3,500 lb thanks to the new transmission oil cooler.
