Ferrari’s Roma gets the Spider treatment making it the brands first front-engined soft top since 1969. Accommodating the folding soft top roof mechanism involved strengthening the rear section of the car, and adding in new side sills, A-pillars and front windscreen. This has the result of increasing the weight if the Roma but is necessary to gain back some torsional rigidity after he roof is removed.
