BMW’s 5-Series has spawned an electric i5 version which rocks 600 horsepower for the M60 spec. Utilising BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive motors, the regular i5 uses a single 335 hp, 243 lb-ft electric motor positioned on the rear axle. For the M60 an extra 257 hp motor is added into the mix on the front axle, with both combining for a total system output of 593 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration clocks in at 2.8 second for the 0 to 62 mph and the 81.2 kWh battery should provide a range of around 320 miles for the i5 M60.
