Inspired by an iconic 60’s McLaren sports prototype racer, Nichols have unveiled their 7.0L V8 powered N1A. The McLaren in question is the 1964 M1A , the first ever race car produced by Bruce McLaren Motor Racing. The aptly named N1A borrows heavily in the styling department and looks all the better for it, with a low-slung stance and pronounced wheel arches.
Weighing in at just under 2,000 lbs and with 650 horsepower being produced by the big Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine, the N1A features a better power-to-weight ratio than a Ferrari SF90 . That’s impressive stuff. Keeping that power in check are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, with the power being sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
