Volkswagen’s California Design Center have teamed up with RacingLine to create a hot Jetta concept for SEMA 2022. Setting this apart from the normal Jetta GLI are wider front and rear fenders, new front and rear bumpers with larger intakes and grilles, a lower ride height, sports muffler and matte black wrap that has cuts outs to reveal the metallic red paint job underneath.
The changes don’t stop with the visuals, as RacingLine have added their won performance package to give some extra oomph. Power has been lifted from 228 hp to 345, and peak torque has risen from 258 lb-ft to 372. That’s a substantial lift in power and torque which necessitated a cooling system, clutch and braking upgrade for the GLI.
