Another one-off commission has emerged out of the Ferrari Styling Centre, this is the front-engined V12 powered SP51. Based on the 812 GTS platform, the SP51 comes with a 6.5L V12 cranking out 789 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. It also uses the same seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which is located in the rear of the vehicle along with an e-differential and rear-wheel steering system.
The Ferrari SP51 has been designed as a true open-top roadster with no roof in sight, forgoing the extra weight of any folding roof mechanism and motors. In their place is a floating carbon fibre roll hoop positioned above two humps on the rear deck.
