The spiritual successor to the Cadillac ATS-V has arrived in the form of the CT4-V Blackwing, a 472 hp compact sports sedan. Cadillac will once again be taking the fight to the likes of the BMW M3, with a performance sedan that has the looks, power and a manual transmission.
Power is rated at 472 hp with 445 lb-ft of torque from the 3.6L LF4 turbocharged V6 engine used in the regular CT4-V. That power number is a nice step up from the 325 hp found in the CT4-V, which is thanks to revised turbos, more airflow and better cooling. Transmission options consist of a standard six-speed manual and an optional 10-speed automatic, which helps the Blackwing to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 189 mph. For the manual equipped cars Cadillac will include active rev matching and no-lift shifting functionality.
