McLaren have created a version of their 720S race car free from GT3 restrictions that will unleash it’s pull potential. This track-only customer car has been done in the same vein as the Lamborghini SCV12 and Gordon Murray T.50s , with more power available from the V8 engine.
Power output is now rated at 710 hp with a peak of 740 hp available in short bursts via a push-to-pass button on the steering wheel. The use of larger turbos and manifolds, improved cooling system and blueprinted cylinder heads were key to unlocking the extra 200 hp over the restricted GT3 race car.
