Genesis X Concept has been revealed as a premium GT Coupe that previews the future direction of the Hyundai brand. With Genesis starting to turn a few heads in the US with some sales success, they are turning their attention to Europe and the UK in the hopes of ruffling a few feathers of the German luxury car makers.
The X Concept is a 2-door coupe with classic long hood, short overhang proportions, that features an electric powertrain of unknown credentials. The choice to go electric is to be expected in 2021, but may disappoint some who would have liked to see a big V8 engine sitting in that large ample engine bay. What is unfortunate is the unlikelihood of Genesis actually turning this concept into a production vehicle, with no plans afoot to do just that. Instead, Genesis will take various aspects of the X Concept and weave them into the next generation G90.
