Ferrari’s hardcore 812 has been revealed in full, which includes both a coupe and Targa-roofed Competizione A version. Peak power has increased from 789 hp up to 819 hp at 9,250 rpm but at the cost of some peak torque which drops from 529 lb-ft to 513 lb-ft. The naturally aspirated V12 in play here has long been a hall-mark of Ferrari front-engined GT cars, and it’s sad to think that it’s life may be coming to an end in the coming years.
Ferrari are set build 599 examples of the Competizione A, of which all have already been sold. Demand has been high due to the likelihood that this may be the last of it’s kind from Ferrari as they look to add more electrification to their line-up.
