Combining technology from their GTE and GT3 racing program, Ferrari have unleashed their track-only edition of the 488. Called the Ferrari 488 GT Modificata, it joins the ranks of other non road legal Ferrari’s like the 599XX and FXX. These exercises allow the Ferrari engineers to unleash to full potential of the platform with worry of complying with road rules or competition regulations.
The Ferrari 488’s V8 engine has been tweaked with a high-performance ECU map which raises peak power up to 690 hp. It remains rear-wheel drive sending power through an automatic transmission that can have customised ratios chosen during production and a carbon fiber clutch.
