Mercedes-AMG have refreshed their entire GT line-up, bringing subtle changes to the styling, chassis tweaks and updated technology. The 4.0L V8 with it’s hot-vee turbocharging setup has remained the same with power and torque unchanged throughout the range. That means the GT R has a very healthy 585 PS (430 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) on tap.
The styling changes to the Mercedes-AMG GT R consist of revised nose and headlamps which take inspiration from the recently launched GT Four Door. The rear end has a newly designed diffuser and trapezoidal tailpipes. On the inside the steering wheel has been updated to resemble the version used in the C63, the instrument dials have been replaced with a configurable digital screen and the transmission tunnel controls from the GT Four Door are now present.
