Honda’s popular Civic Type R has received a mild face-lift for the start of the new decade at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon. Tweaks have been made to the interior, exterior and mechanicals with a focus on enhanced performance and efficiency.
The exterior changes are so minor that you will be hard pressed to spot them. The front central grill has been opened up a bit more to aid in engine cooling, and the lower intakes now have a cleaner look with a body coloured blade and more aerodynamically-efficient insert rather than the old mesh design. The Type R will also be available in a new exclusive paint colour called Boost Blue.
