2019 Hyundai RM19 Concept

Coupe · 2019

Hyundai’s RM19 concept is a mid engined prototype designed to offer supercar-level handling balance and agility. A test bed for new technologies to be integrated into future Hyundai N models. The name is derived from Racing Midship (RM) referring to the engine position.

The current engine used is a TCR sourced 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo producing an impressive 390 PS (287 kW) of power. Hyundai have unleashed the full potential of the engine where it is usually subject to the TCR Balance of Performance adjustments. Acceleration from 0-60 mph is expected to all done in under the 4 second mark, thanks to the RM19’s ability to put it’s power to the ground effectively. Hyundai are also planning to test other powertrains in the RM19, mainly ones that include some form of electrification.
