1985 Citroen BX 4TC

Coupe · 1985

In the year 1986 Citroen introduced the BX to the world of Group B rallying. Called the BX 4TC, it wore plenty of new clothing, including extra lights mounted in the front, wide wheel arches, boxy valances and rear spoiler. After all these add-ons, the BX was hardly recognisable from the humble road going version.

The nose was lengthened to accommodate the longitudinally mounted Chrysler sourced Simca Type 180 engine. This was down sleeved to reduce the capacity slightly in order to comply with the FIA’s restrictions for Turbocharged Group B rally cars.
